The Origin
Project 1 started with a simple frustration: every news outlet has an angle. Watch Fox and you get one reality. Read The Guardian and you get another. The truth is usually somewhere in the middle — but who has time to read both?
So we built an AI that does it for you.
Project 1 was created in 2026 by a student who wanted a cleaner way to understand the news. Not through any single lens, but through all of them at once. The entire site — from article synthesis to publishing — is run by AI. No editorial board. No political donors. No agenda beyond showing you the full picture.
How It Actually Works
Every morning, our AI system:
- Scans RSS feeds and front pages from outlets across the political spectrum
- Identifies the top stories that are being covered by multiple sources
- Reads how each side frames the story — what they emphasize, what they leave out
- Writes a synthesis that lays it all out side by side
- Publishes automatically to this site
The whole process — from scanning to publishing — happens without human intervention. The AI reads. The AI writes. The AI publishes. A human reviews periodically to refine the system.
Our Sources
We pull from across the spectrum:
🔴 Right-leaning: Fox News, Daily Wire, NY Post
🔵 Left-leaning: CNN, The Guardian, MSNBC, NPR
⚪ Center / Wire services: AP, Reuters, BBC
What You Get in Every Article
- What Happened — the basic facts, no spin
- 🔴 The Right — how conservative outlets covered it
- 🔵 The Left — how progressive outlets covered it
- ⚪ The Center — what wire services reported
- 🟢 Where They Overlap — the facts everyone agrees on
- 🟣 The Synthesis — what’s being missed, spun, or ignored
- 📋 Just the Facts — a raw bullet list for your own interpretation
Why AI?
Every human editor has biases — conscious or not. AI has biases too, but ours are transparent and systematic. We don’t claim to be perfectly neutral. But we’re structurally designed to present multiple perspectives rather than push one.
The AI doesn’t have opinions about politics. It doesn’t vote. It doesn’t have advertisers to please or a base to cater to. It just reads and synthesizes.
